Video: How David Tennant departed Doctor Who!

How do you leave a series behind that has made you one of the most beloved actors in the history of the show? How do you end things on a happier not and have fun with it?! Well you call in the Proclaimers and have the cast and crew sing "I would walk 500 miles" as a true credit roll for your run on Doctor Who! Or that is how David Tennant seem to end things. Apparently this video was show at the wrap party and is a a nice way way to go in my mind.



Oh and there is this thank you video for Russell T. Davies that was most likely never meant to be released. But it has hit the web and fans everywhere are happy!

Game Trailer: Dragon's Dogma - Pawn

We finally get to see more of this games story! Finally this Capcom mashup of Monster Hunter meets Elder Scrolls is coming. Most people have not really even heard of this game cause with all the holiday gaming trailers and hype some of the lesser known games of next year are slipping thought the cracks! Don't let this be one of those! This could be the start of a new franchise and from what we have seen I really hope it is!

Game Trailer: Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary Launch Trailer

November 15 marks the launch of the updated release of Halo. It is very fitting that this anniversary edition uses the graphics engine of Halo Reach considering how that game ends. There are more than a few people that didn't own a Xbox that now own a 360. This means a majority of people who played Halo 3, Halo ODST or Halo Reach possibly didn't ever have a chance to play the game that modernized console FPS games. For those of who did play it is has been quiet a long time we have. This new version is running a new graphics engine but has the same combat engine under the hood. This means the guns and jumping feel like the did when first released. You can also play online for the first time so Blood Gulch will be all the rage yet again! Overall this title is shaping up to be a good game for a good price! After all is it too early to call it a classic?!

Game Trailer: Waku release date!

A animated trailer using the same art style as the game itself. The new Square Enix turn based MMO comes out early next year. This new game has a very different feel where resources are a huge part of the game as well as a political system. If you strip mine an area that impacts that part of the world. So do you become a forester and help control and replant trees or clear cut them all down and say forget about it. Could be an interesting idea fora new game right?!

Game Review: Battlefield 3

Battlefield 3 might just be the shooter this year to beat. Not only does it bring a level of realism rarely seen in games now days but is a sequel to one of the best team based PC games ever. No Battlefield 3 is not BF: Bad Company 3. There hasn't been a proper Battlefield PC title since BF2 in 2005. Sure you could say the Bad Companyy games were but they also were maid for consoles first rather than the proper home of the PC.

Single Player
The main point of a single player campaign most FPS shooters is ether to tell a compelling story or prepare the player for the multiplayer component. DICE's Battlefield series tried telling a story for the first time with Battlefield Bad Company and for the most part did well. Single player has never been the company's strongest ability but they have easily gone above the call of duty on this one. The story hook has been done in before but it feels like it would fit well into a more realistic scenario than most FPS military shooters. Where some of DICE's competition has opted for going over the top big budget Hollywood this story feels more like it could have been an HBO drama. There are major set pieces and some jaw dropping action scenes that is damn sure. The gameplay does not always take place on foot and does jump you around between the major players in the story. One mission you might be in the pants of Blackburn, the main role of the player, and the next preparing to take off from the flight deck in a aircraft. Just when you think you know what is coming next the game throws you a different direction and surprises you. Not the best single player story in a first person shooter but by far the best in the Battlefield series.


Multiplayer
This is the bread and butter of almost any major game these days. Where most games ether push to tack on a multiplayer DICE does not screw around. Until Battlefield Bad Company came along every BF game was multiplayer only. That is what the game was build for and excelled at. Large scale battles, huge maps with vehicles fighting along side infantry. Recently in the past several years we have seen more scaled down personal "squad" combat in games like Gears if War, Crysis 2 and the Call of Duty series. Where these kind of games feel more like arcade action rather than a war game. Battlefield 3 brings that back in full force. You really can't effectivle lone wolf your way to a victory. It takes team work and even more team work. Spotting enemy targets for a sniper or a morter player or being that loved support player that drops ammo. This is how a game should be, one that brings group of gamers together.

Game Trailer: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - Weapon Progression Behind the Scenes Video

That is long damn title! Check out the new weapon customization in MW3! The new items and turrets seem more Sci Fi that realistic to me. Yep, Call of Duty is the Hollywood movie of gaming. If they don't just make a futuristic game as the next iteration I will be slightly upset cause frankly they are already half way there.

Game Trailer: Steel Battalion Heavy Armor

Steel Battalion is better know as the Xbox game that had the giant mech controller of doom. The game was difficult, you needed table to use the controller and was one of the most epic games of the Xbox no one played. If you died you had to start all the way over at the start. That is why there was a eject button for your mech right on the controller.

There is even very dedicated community behind this game with websites like http://www.steelbattalion.org/index.php who even has a modified newer controller.

This new game looks to be one of the best Kinect titles to date. Rather than having the giant controller again they built it into the game. The one major thing about Steel Battalion in the first game and apparently in this one that they are more walking tanks than your Robotech type mechs. So slower but powerful. Where the first game was more futuristic this one reminds me of World War 2 with walking tanks! Foe me being such a huge fan of the series it is hard not to get excited at what this game could be and fear the disappointment it may bring!

Game Trailers; Batman Arkham City - Nightwing DLC

Cause you didn't think the best comic book series game could not get any better they do this! Nightwing comes to Arkham City with his own maps, weapons, animations, skins and side story! One of my personal favorite characters in the Batman Mythos considering he was the first Robin, took over as Batman for awhile and still grew into his own character over the years to be just as fun to follow as the Dark Knight himself. If you have already beat the game then look forward to this new DLC hitting November 1st!

Game Trailer: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 - Launch Trailer

Even with it still a few weeks away and Battlefield 3 putting on the pressure seems that they felt the need to jump the gun on releasing this. Makes me wonder if Activsion isn't just a bit worried that BF3 might steal some users and thunder! I held back on posting this trailer till AFTER Battlefield 3 had launched cause Call of Duty MW3 is still a few weeks off. I think Activsion release this trailer so quickly because of Fear in what DICE has built. The trailer does show off that MW3 might be still the game to beat this holiday season and good for small team completion but they did jump the gun.

Ultimate Battlefield 3 Simulator - The Gadget Show!

About a week ago we showed the trailer for this episode of The Gadget Show and now the full episode is out. Not only do they put the host though the works in the simulator but they found a SAS vet that happen to be the consultant on Battlefield 3. The cost of this whole system is unknown but it is pieced together with various systems. I'm sure if you had the money you could build this but then again if you had that much money there is a lot you could do.

Review - Batman: Arkham City

Everyone loves Batman. Seriously, whether you were first introduced to the dark knight through comics, movies, or the television shows, it seems no one can escape his brooding charms. What's not to like? He's dark, calculating, and, above all else, he doesn't need super powers to fight crime. He's the everyman we all desire to, but likely could never, be.

It's surprising then that it took until 2009, with Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham Asylum, for someone to make a great Batman game. Asylum was released to glowing reviews, with many calling it the best comic book game of all time and I, even as a Marvel fan, would be inclined to agree. The mix of tight, fluid combat, detailed environments to explore, and excellent production values made Asylum a game that not only drew from Batman's history but added to it. Now, two years later, Rocksteady is back with a slightly different take on the caped crusader in Batman: Arkham City.

Rumor News: Joss Whedon's Much Ado About Nothing

In a press release yesterday, it was announced that the principal photography was completed for "Much Ado About Nothing", adapted and directed by Joss Whedon. As a theatre major, this makes me happy. As a "Firefly" fan, I think my brain just exploded from the awesomeness.

The movie has been filmed in black-and-white in just 12 days, and in secret. It stars Amy Acker as Beatrice, Alexis Denisof as Benedick, and Nathan Fillion as Dogberry.

Speaking of which, upon being asked if it was a hoax, Nathan Fillion replied on Twitter that it was "Very real."

The film is scheduled for release sometime next spring.

The Trailers and gameplay have shown some of the best anime action in a video game format ever! Well a series that is based on an anime at least. One of the biggest features of this game is the make your own DBZ Hero! Fans of the series have been waiting forever for something like this in the US! February 10, 2012 Star Wars returns to theaters in 3D! All six films starting with, sigh, Episode 1 will be converted into 3D tech and relaunched. Will Lucas make changes again to the films or are these the Blu-Ray versions of them films?! Sadly the trailer doesn't show us Episode 1 Yoda so there is no way to tell. You know most of us hate this movie for what a disappointment it was and how much wish JAR JAR wasn't there. But most of us will still see it cause it is Star Wars! Man these games keep looking more and more realistic as time goes! Yes Freddie Wong is back and this time hes doing a first person camera trailer of BF4! This was a fun little video cause it is rare to see this type of FPS camera work. Watching the behind the scenes on freddie2 is always fun as well. Game Trailer: Monster Hunter 3 Tri-G - Gameplay!

This is a heck of long trailer showing off some of the big monsters in the game as well as some new weapons! Fromt he footage show the game is shaping up to be another fine outing in the Monster Hunter series. There has been sad news recently with the announcement that multiplayer will only be in local wifi settings with online restricted to downloading quests. Though I am sure the gaming community will find a way around that like they did with the PSP versions!

Game Trailer: Battlefield 3 - Launch Trailer!

12:01am Tuesday October 25, 2011 can not get here fast enough! Battlefield 3 you have stolen my heart and I can't wait to run home with you! A few weeks ago Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 released a trailer of their over the top Hollywood styled single player story. Seems that BF3 would not be left in the corner in such a way and just came out swinging. This story looks series and has the signs of being the best single player story in DICE's history! It is hard to even count the set pieces by watching it just once! EA and DICE have put out mind blowing trailer after trailer for this game and I still believe it will steal MW3 thunder!

Blizzcon 2011 Starts Today!

About a hour and half before the opening ceremonies start! You can still order you virtual ticket to all 4 live feeds, the concert and get your mini pet for 40.00 over at www.blizzcon.com. I have done it the last 3 years and it has been well worth it. There is also now a 2 meg stream size instead of last years 1.2 meg. Which means more HD content!  Will we see any info on Titan!?  What will the next World of Warcraft expansion bring us?!  Diablo 3 dated?  More details on Starcraft 2 Heart of the Swar?  Nerfing of more classes?  All valid questions that I hope to see answered in the next 2 days.  I will be updating with what info I can as the day goes on but I most likely will be too caught up in all the fun.  So if you have the day off or it's your weekend, relax and tune-in !

Game Trailer: Rayman Origins - Dragon Trailer

Rayman one of the best console platformer of past systems. This new game is a prequel to all the previous games. The animation and gameplay look smooth but very twisted. Sense of humor in games seems to be lacking this season so to see something as quirky and off the wall as this game is very welcomed.

Game Trailer: Battlefield 3 - Multiplayer

Everything I said about wanting to play Uncharted 3 over Battlefiled 3 a earlier is now gone. HOLY F***!!! I know DICE is amazing when it comes to multiplayer map design but dear god were where they hiding the map when you run off a cliff it and freefall! I had to watch this trailer a few times to catch everything or I hope I did. The last part of the trailer gives us another look at the the Back to Karkand expansion pack, that brings back some Battlefield 2 classic maps. This trailer really puts the game engine though its paces and shows off why this is the shooter to beat this holiday season!

Game Trailer: Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception Launch Trailer!

Well the game isn't out till November 1, 2011 but seems they wanted to jump the gun and steal some attention from Batman and Battlefield 3! Yes this most likely will be the best PS3 game of the year but we have things to play in the meantime Naughty Dog! Don't tempt us so with something that won't be out for a few weeks. Still this trailer will make you say WOW and I want to play this game now!

Game Trailer: Firefall - Dreadnaught

This free-to-play shooter MMO keeps getting me excited. Story is being written by Orson Scott Card, the graphics look great and very Borderland like, and the gameplay reminds me of Global Agenda/ Team Fortress 2. They are taking good ideas and placing them into a more open world and I love them for it. December is when the game is to be released and no major open beta has happen so that has me slightly worried. MMO launches tend to be great or horrible. This video though gives us some hope with a new battleframe, the classes of Firefall, the Dreadnaught. Heavy armor, weapons and shielding this looks like the tanking class of choice. I wonder if he will have a Russian accent?!

Game Trailer: Final Fantasy Type-0 Gameplay 11 minutes!

11 whole minutes of gameplay from this PSP release titled Final Fantasy Type 0. The game looks on the level of say FF10 but there seems to be some framerate issues here and there. The game was announced as Final Fantasy Agito XIII and since has gone though some changes. Since the game did not really have much to do with Final Fantasy 13 they changed the title but use the same world mythos. You can read more about the game here. It has not been giving a US release but considering its Final Fantasy I'm sure that Squaren Enix will want to suck that franchise dry for all its worth.

Game Trailer: Grand Theft Auto III Anniversary

Well HD upgrades or not GTA 3 has not aged well at all. Being released for iDevices and Droids this release marks the first time it has been on a mobile platform. Granted do we really need to relive this game? Would you seriously consider it a "classic" game? Yes it did innovate but how well will it really hold up a decade later let alone on a device that doesn't have a real controller.

Game Trailer: RIFT Endless Adventures

This new trailer shows off why RIFT is its own game. Yes it does have features like several other MMOs but since launch they have expanded and tried new things. Dual Dungeons are a fine example of being able to do content and see story without having to have a full group. More of a social casual challenge while still retaining the hardercore stuff in the game. Showing off all the launch and added features since the game has been out in this video. Not to mention it is damn nice to look at. I love this trailer!

Ultimate Battlefield 3 Simulator - The Gadget Show

WoW..... DICE just keeps doing amazing things to promote this game. I mean damn... A simulator where you get shot back at though a video game?! wtf. I want to see this whole episode of The Gadget Show to see how this setup really works. Still this teaser is really worth watching.

Trailer: When Harry Left Hogwarts!

Part of the 4-disc Blu-Ray edition exclusively at Target for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 there is this documentary. It seems to be a detailed look at the filming of the last two films and the high emotional state for a big number of the actors behind the series that lasted 10 years and 8 movies! The trailer had me wanting to buy this edition just to see this movie itself.

Trailer: Justice League : Doom - New DC Animated Film

Batman Year One comes out on DVD and Blu-Ray tommarow and there is already a trailer out for the next DC Universe animated film? I can say this trailer does not give me as much excitement as Year One did or even All-Star Superman cause it seems boring. The Justice League vs some of the lesser known villains forming the Legion of Doom! Judge for yourself off the trailer but we will see when the film gets released, right?!

Game Trailer: Ni no Kuni: Wraith of the White Witch

This easly is one of the most amazing looking games on a console to date. Not cause it has the most advance graphics ever but because it brings a hand drawn animation style to life in 3D. Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli are the Disney of Japan and the fact that level 5 can bring their style of work to a game in this way is breath taking. Trailer: Race to World First - MMO Documentary

A new World of Warcraft documentary has been released. You can find it here and watch it online with 48 hour access for 2.99. For those who watched The Raid about the first third of the movie does feel similar. It obvious has been setup for people that don't necessarily play World of Warcraft. Though the movie does start leading into more gamer friendly content about half way. When they start really talking about what it takes to down new raid content and get worlds first achievements. It was exciting to see the reactions of the guilds as they ether made the kill or were surpassed by another. I would not really recommended a $20 price tag but a few bucks is a prefect way to support the film maker and get to see the movie. Funny: Still Subscribed - Parody [WoW Machinima]

Blizzard has not done the best content releases this year and this parody to the ending theme of Portal is a great. They have rehashed some content and haven't giving us what they planed at Blizzcon last year. Well nothing goes as planned and it is frustrating to have expectations that aren't meet. Blizzcon 2011 is days away and hopefully this will be addressed, fixed and a new bad ass expansion will be show. Still the video is damn funny!

Game Trailer: The Amazing Spiderman - CAM trailer

Even with this footage being taking from a camera at NYCC it just seem very MEH to me. I don't personal like the basketball suit Spider Man nor typical do I enjoy movie games. Maybe it will be the best spidey game ever or will it suck into the oblivion that most movie games do. Only time will tell when it is released next year.

Looks like the planet PVP at the end of the trailer and the best part is seeing the Trooper Leader from the Hope movie. Hes alive but damn his face is messed up. That is what happen when you take a gun to Sith light saber fight I guess!

Who knew someone would make a Voltron short fan film with an aged Lance? Could this maybe be setting up for something bigger by this team? Simplistic as it is, very well done indeed.

Review - Rage

Rage is a game that wears a lot of hats. At its core, it's a completely competent first person shooter. On top of that, it's also a car combat and racing game, an open world game, a showcase for ID Software's new graphics engine, and, oh yeah, it wants really badly to be an RPG. It's not.

I have to mention up front, Rage is absolutely gorgeous. It does a great job presenting “wow” moments especially early in the game and it's a great show piece for ID Tech 5 but it also shows the limitations. For instance, there are no dynamic shadows at all. When you walk by a window with light pouring in there is no visible reaction because all shadows are pre-rendered into the texture. Texture pop-in is another prominent issue when turning quickly though you'll hardly ever notice it in a firefight.

7 damn minutes of a sequel a game that wasn't that great in the first place. As I have said in the podcast that SquareEnix needs to move the heck on and make a new Final Fantasy game that is well.. new universe! Sigh so if you really want another game with the characters from the corridor land of FF13 then here you go!

TV Trailer: Darth Maul Return in The Clone Wars

WTF LUCAS! Just when I thought the Clone Wars this season was being amazing he makes the choice to jump the shark. I mean HOW can he come back... the guy was split in half. I know in the expanded universe some how he gets a cyborg bottom half but dear god I hope not. Please be a clone or something instead... I understand that Darth Maul was a bad ass that didn't get enough line or screen time and was killed far too early. This is slightly crazy though.

This series isn't dead yet after all the horrible right to DVD movies?! Some how they got original cast back to do a true sequel. That is a nice surprise. I admit that I was laughing my ass off at this trailer. I think it could be the first good movie in this series is a very long time.

This new trailer shows the roots of this franchise. It is good that the developer is paying respects to the origins of this title and showing off where it came from. Not only will the game have a single player game that is more of its own thing but a 4 player co-op which will be more of a update to the original idea. This story trailer is showing off the the game is shaping up to be a damn fine release. Cyberpunk is back and better than ever!

News: Free-To-Play Shadowrun Online Announced

Nope another first person shooter like the crappy Xbox 360 / PC release. Thankfully they are going back to the more pen and paper setup and a overhead view. Cliffhanger Productions are behind this browsers based new game. The game will be split into two parts, an action part where you can do all the hacking, shooting and magic you want. The other being an overhead map where most of the mission prep-work will go down in the way of using contacts to get info, blueprints, making bribes and everything else that was more traditional to the dice game. One of the game's producers described as "more in the tradition of Baldur's Gate crossed with Jagged Alliance."

News: Dungeons and Dragons Online Update 11 is out!

This massively patch to the Free-To-Play MMO by Turbine is out.  The patch notes are so big I wont even attempt to post them here.  New class the Artificer, tweeks, new areas heck this is more of an expansion than just a patch.  Check out the full notes here.  If your looking for a MMO with a very different combat system and are tired of World of Warcraft give it a shot.  DDO might just surprise you.

News: SOE hit by hackers, again, 33,000 accounts compromised

Really?! AGAIN?! Yes it is a small number compared the previous hacking success on SONY but this is the last type of news they wanted. How did the hackers get in again. You would have think after being down for a flipping month that SONY/SOE would have updated their security to military like levels. This is right before the switch to Free-To-Play for DC Universe. This might make people less inclined to try the game now that their accounts can be effected.

hief Information Security Officer Philip Reitinger posted a letter on several SOE forums informing players that their accounts may have been compromised
"Only a small fraction of these 93,000 accounts showed additional activity prior to being locked," Reitinger said. He assured customers that credit card numbers were not leaked and that any purchases made during this intrusion will be restored. SOE customers with locked accounts will receive an email with instructions on how to validate their credentials and restore their service.

WTF Internet: Questionable Team Rocket Moments

Good old, classic Pokemon. A lot of seasoned otaku like to bitch about how many changes 4Kids made to the original series and dumbed it down. However, apparently the writers like to throw a few things into the script that somehow make it past the censors. This is the opening movie for those who do not want to wait till November release date. After watching it I started to try and place where it falls in the very confusing Legend of Zelda mythos and failed. A swan song for the Nintendo Wii and maybe the best Legend of Zelda game since the N64 is coming to us soon. This video might be simple in its presentation but it has me more curious to play than some of the gameplay footage.

Funny ?: Epic Rap Battles of History 14 - Captain Kirk VS Columbus

Well its Columbus day and to celebrate it NicePeter has released the new Epic Rap Battles of History. This time two explores and captains take on each other in easily the highest production value video he has done yet. The background music is great, the lyrics work well but the fact that they went with having Kirk rap the way he does sucks. I know Shatner does all these spoke word songs and has a specific way to speaking but i just did not work out well. This started off amazing with Columbus and just went down hill. At the time of writing this article the video had over 2,000 dislikes compared to the 12,000 likes. Most of these videos don't get a large negative reaction. More than a few people agree this is by far NOT the best video he has done and by far not the best Epic Rap Battle.

What to Play - 10/10/11

Do you still have that old electric guitar sitting around that you've been meaning to learn to play since you we're in middle school? Well, Ubisoft's finally here to whip you into shape with Rocksmith. Using a special cable, you hook your guitar to your Xbox360 or PS3 and Rocksmith teaches you how to play through lessons and licensed songs. Think less Guitar Hero and more Guitar Instructor. Minus the lesson fees and smell of Pot.

Dead Rising 2 was released last year to good-not-great reviews from most outlets. Now Capcom, as they are want to do, is re-releasing the game. Sort of. You see, this is Dead Rising 2: Off The Record from Frank West's perspective and including a bunch of new content. If you don't know who Frank West is you probably won't care about this game though. If you do, what are you waiting for? Go kill ALL the zombies!!!

Finally, this week we see the release of Microsoft's big sim racer for Xbox 360, Forza 4. Returning from previous titles is the rewind mechanic to help you even if you're new to simulation racing games (or just bad at them like me). An interesting addition to this game s Kinect support, which allows players to tilt their heads to lean in cockpit view. If you're a fan of cars or racing games you owe it to yourself to check this one out.

If you have an Android phone then hurry up and go pick up the game that will destroy any productivity you have. 6.99 is sort of a high price but who knows if it will live up to the full PC version? Game Trailer: Star Wars The Old Republic: Jedi Knight VS Bounty Hunter

This video gives us a nice description of both classes which happen to be on different sides of the Old Republic Conflict. Bounty Hunter class is a Sith Empire ranged class while the Jedi Knight is a melee focused class for the Republic. Seems even the design team has their personal favorites as they talk about how to deal with a fight between a Jedi Knight and Bounty hunter in PVP. This video showcases some of the combat, abilities and situations both classes will be in. Like the fact that as a Jedi you can make dark side choices and violate the Jedi code. Or as the Bounty Hunter being a honorable person or a down outright killer. Both male voice actors are wonderful in their own role. With voice of Solid Snake from Metal Gear being that of the Jedi Knight, David Hayter. Every Friday Bioware gives out another preview into this world 3000 years before the movies. With the release closing in on December 20th I can't wait what else we get to see.

Also Star Wars The Old Republic will be playable at the New Your Comic Con Oct. 13 -16 of this year!

After watching this trailer I can sum it up into one question. When did Robin become THIS bad ass!? You get 3 skins and 2 challenge maps when pre-ordering the game for 360 or ps3 at GAMESTOP. Now that's the kind of nice per-orders I want to see!

Game Trailer: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 - Redemption Single Player Story

Well we have giving Battlefield 3 a lot of love on this site as of late. Finally Call of Duty gives us a look at the single player and changes that were needed to make it more of what it really is. A Hollywood Michael Bay type summer action film. This plot looks like it would fit right in on the silver screen with you eating popcorn frantically. I still don't believe it has a better multiplayer side than BF3 but it really is hard to compare both single player stories. One is more realistic and one has realized to skip that and go for broke and do what every they want! All right Activsion I accept you have done a better job with this games single player than the last 2. That does not mean your stealing me from my BF3 just yet!

Hatsune Miku is Japans virtual idol known as a Vocaloid. What is that you might ask? Well that is more complicated than typical I would like to explain so WIKI help me out.

Vocaloid (ボーカロイド Bōkaroido?) is a singing synthesizer application, with its signal processing part developed through a joint research project between the Pompeu Fabra University in Spain and Japan's Yamaha Corporation, who backed the development financially—and later developed the software into the commercial product "Vocaloid".[1][2] The software enables users to synthesize singing by typing in lyrics and melody.

Hatsune Miku herself/itself... arg. is defined by wiki as.

Hatsune Miku (初音ミク^?) is a singing synthesizer application with a female persona, developed by Crypton Future Media. It uses Yamaha Corporation's Vocaloid 2 synthesizing technology. The name of the character comes from a fusion of the Japanese for first (初 hatsu^?), sound (音 ne^?) and future (Miku (ミク^?) sounds like a nanori reading of future, 未来, normally read as "mirai"^[1]), referring to her position as the first of Crypton's "Character Vocal Series". She was the second Vocaloid to be sold using the Vocaloid 2 engine and the first Japanese Vocaloid to use the Japanese version of the Vocaloid 2 engine. Most recently at ANIME EXPO there was a concert of various Vocaloid that you can find on YouTube.  The tech could lead to some interesting situations, such as a pop start that can not die.  Who know what the future might hold but this tech is becoming more and more popular.  I personal had a WTF reaction to the first video I saw with it myself.   These kids seems really confused... and ya.. watch it for yourself.
